Remote Numerical Software Algorithm Engineer | WFH

Job Overview

Join our expanding and innovative team as a Numerical Algorithm Software Engineer, where you will contribute to pioneering sensor data processing technologies and scientific solutions that bolster national security and defense initiatives. We focus on delivering state-of-the-art data exploitation capabilities for a variety of U.S. Government programs, particularly within the Department of Defense.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and devise new algorithms for the exploitation of remote sensor data.
• Exhibit proficiency in both Python and C , showcasing strong software design and architectural skills.
• Create proof-of-concept tools for signal processing, image processing, and data exploitation utilizing Python.
• Improve existing Python-based tools that aid in machine learning, modeling, and simulation tasks.
• Assess the performance and quality of algorithms and sensor systems.
• Collaborate in an Agile team environment and contribute to shared development tools.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
  
  

Required Skills

• Mastery in C and Python programming languages.
• Solid understanding of low-latency data processing, fusion, and tracking algorithms.
• Experience in developing proof-of-concept tools for signal and image processing.
• Familiarity with machine learning, modeling, and simulation efforts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with C , Python, and Linux operating systems (education may substitute for some experience).
• Experience with OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other types of remote sensing data.
• Strong attention to detail and the capacity to work full-time on-site in Boulder, CO.

Compensation And Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of \(117,000 - \)168,000 annually, based on responsibilities, experience, and education.
