Remote Numerical Software Engineer - Algorithm Development | WFH

Job Overview

We are expanding our dynamic team and seeking skilled software and algorithm developers and engineers to contribute to the advancement of sensor data processing technologies and innovative scientific solutions that bolster national security and defense initiatives. Our focus lies in delivering state-of-the-art data exploitation capabilities for various U.S. Government programs, with a particular emphasis on the Department of Defense.

Important Notice

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, U.S. citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor work visas of any kind, and applicants who do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and innovate new algorithms for remote sensor data exploitation.
• Exhibit expertise in Python and C , alongside strong software design and architectural acumen.
• Develop proof-of-concept tools for signal processing, image processing, and data exploitation utilizing Python.
• Enhance Python-based tools for machine learning, modeling, and simulation initiatives.
• Assess the performance and efficacy of algorithms and sensor systems.
• Collaborate within an Agile team environment and contribute to collective development tools.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in C and Python programming.
• Strong software design and architecture capabilities.
• Experience with low-latency data processing, fusion, and tracking algorithms.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Meticulous attention to detail along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with C , Python, and Linux operating systems (education may substitute for some experience).
• Background in working with OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remote sensing data.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Boulder, CO.

Compensation And Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of \(117,000 - \)168,000 per annum, based on factors such as role responsibilities, experience, and education.
