In the capacity of UAV Remote Sensing Project Manager, you will take charge of the comprehensive planning, development, and execution of UAV projects, ensuring their successful and timely completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Oversight: Supervise the planning, scheduling, and execution of numerous UAV projects, guaranteeing that all milestones are achieved.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and guide a team of UAV technicians and specialists, managing assignments and assuring the quality of deliverables.
- Contract Negotiation: Define project scope and actively engage in contract discussions.
- Budget Management: Formulate and oversee project budgets, taking corrective measures as necessary to ensure adherence to timelines and financial constraints.
- Data Management: Collaborate with the team to establish database and schema requirements while managing UAV data for insightful analysis.
- Flight & Logistics Management: Organize UAV flight requests, delegate pilot assignments, and oversee operational tasks related to data acquisition, including mapping, photography, video, LiDAR, and quality assurance/control of deliverables.
- Software & Partnerships: Manage UAV flight and processing software and cultivate partnerships with platforms such as SkySkopes, DroneDeploy, and Pix4D.
- Business Development: Participate in business development initiatives, including responding to RFPs, delivering presentations, and preparing project proposals.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and associated extensions.
- Familiarity with relational database management and data analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management abilities.
- A valid driver's license.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in GIS or UAV operations.
- Remote Pilot Certification is mandatory, while Remote Sensing Certification is advantageous.
