Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, development, and operation of a modernized childcare tracking system.
- Accurately evaluate complex situations and propose viable solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive lessons-learned documentation for future project reference.
- Monitor daily system operations to preemptively address potential issues.
- Manage resource allocation within programs, ensuring adherence to budget constraints while responding to fluctuations in workload.
- Provide technical and analytical guidance as a subject matter expert to project teams.
- Implement agile project management methodologies to prioritize and deliver system enhancements.
- Coordinate with multiple state agencies, including the Department of Human Services, to optimize the utilization of the MD Think platform.
- Conduct regular status meetings with internal and contractor teams to communicate objectives and resolve issues.
- Assist in the management of contracts and vendors related to assigned projects.
- Current certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is essential.
- Proficiency with the CCATS application is required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
- Experience with Maryland state procurement is advantageous.
- Familiarity with drafting Fit Gap Analysis is a plus.
- Previous experience in preparing and delivering well-structured presentations is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field is required.
- A master's degree or project management certification is preferred.
- Current certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is required.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant industry experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience managing project life cycles, particularly for internet and intranet software operations.
- A minimum of 10 years of combined technical experience in the IT field is necessary.
