As a member of our innovative technology team, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of diverse data sources, ensuring our clients receive the highest quality insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and enhance database schemas, data ingestion models, ETLs, and testing procedures to guarantee data integrity and accessibility.
- Sustain and refine existing data infrastructure and pipelines while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers through training, collaborative coding, and insightful code reviews.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, research, operations, and front-end developers to deliver groundbreaking solutions aligned with business goals.
- Analyze extensive aggregated datasets, covering demographic, geographic, and GIS/spatial data.
- Collaborate with remote development teams across different time zones, primarily coordinating with colleagues based in California.
- Facilitate handover discussions and issue resolution by overlapping with the US West Coast for 3-4 hours.
- Strong programming expertise in Python, including experience with libraries such as Pandas, SQLAlchemy, Flask, and FastAPI.
- Proficiency in relational databases, specifically MySQL, SQL, or PostgreSQL, spanning a minimum of 5 years.
- Familiarity with Git; knowledge of Atlassian tools like Confluence and Jira is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, agile work environment while managing multiple tasks.
- A proactive approach to keeping abreast of emerging cloud technologies and programming best practices.
- Familiarity with finance, real estate data, mathematics, or GIS/spatial data is an asset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of programming proficiency in Python, along with extensive database experience.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure and CI/CD practices is a plus.
