Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate data models, ensuring security and efficiency.
- Design, build, and maintain databases according to logical and physical specifications.
- Monitor, diagnose, and enhance database performance.
- Provide round-the-clock support for production databases, including on-call duties.
- Develop and refine processes for database maintenance, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Lead or contribute to standardization initiatives within the database domain.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and mentor team members.
- 8-10 years of experience in database administration.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle (11g, 12c, 19c) including partitioning, compression, TDE, Data Guard, RMAN, RAC, and database cloning.
- Expertise in SQL Server administration (up to 21c), covering database maintenance, log shipping, performance tuning, and reporting tools such as SSMS, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Experience with database automation leveraging scripts like KRON, PowerShell, and Python.
- Familiarity with managing and migrating databases to AWS or similar cloud environments.
- Skilled in overseeing high-availability settings and extensive databases (VLDB).
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude with a practical approach to problem resolution.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration capabilities.
- Prior experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
- A minimum of 8-10 years in database administration and management.
- Proven expertise in Oracle and SQL Server administration.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
