Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and upkeep of essential security documentation, ensuring compliance with government and organizational standards.
- Conduct annual Security Control Assessments (SCAs) for approximately 63 systems, addressing any identified issues to guarantee full compliance.
- Oversee the 24⁄7 operations of the CSIRC, coordinating responses to security incidents, particularly those involving sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Create and sustain a Cyberthreat Dashboard to provide real-time insights into cyber activity, enhancing our proactive defense strategies.
- Spearhead the Vulnerability Management Program to identify and rectify security weaknesses, ensuring network integrity.
- Actively monitor network activity to detect unauthorized actions and manage security tools effectively.
- Safeguard the security of financial systems, aligning with accounting and accessibility standards set by the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO).
- Provide security support for various applications and databases, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong technical knowledge in senior IT management solutions.
- Experience in creating and managing dashboards or reporting tools.
- Familiarity with government security and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Expertise in cybersecurity incident management, risk assessment, and vulnerability evaluations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of enterprise-level IT experience, with at least 5 years supporting large government contracts.
- Required Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Preferred Certifications: Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Foundation.
