In this fully remote position, you will be instrumental in supporting our Enterprise Security Operations Center (ESOC) and Computer Security Incident Response Capability (CSIRC), ensuring the security and compliance of critical systems while safeguarding sensitive information across government platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the upkeep and governance of security documentation, including privacy assessments and system security plans, while ensuring compliance with governmental and organizational standards.
- Execute annual Security Control Assessments (SCAs) for approximately 63 systems, meticulously evaluating security controls and remediating any identified issues to achieve full compliance.
- Oversee the 24⁄7 operation of the CSIRC, monitoring and responding to security incidents, particularly those involving sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and provide comprehensive training to analysts.
- Develop and maintain a Cyberthreat Dashboard to report real-time cyber activity, thereby enhancing visibility into emerging threats and fortifying the ESOC’s defense mechanisms.
- Spearhead the Vulnerability Management Program by identifying security vulnerabilities and driving timely remediation efforts to protect network integrity.
- Monitor network activities to identify unauthorized actions and manage security tools to safeguard ESOC operations.
- Ensure the integrity and security of financial systems in compliance with accounting and accessibility standards for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO).
- Provide robust security support for a variety of applications and databases, ensuring adherence to government regulations and best practices.
- Extensive technical expertise in senior IT management solutions.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of government security and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Proficiency in cybersecurity incident handling, risk management, and vulnerability assessments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of enterprise-level IT experience, including 5 years within the past decade supporting large government contracts.
- Required Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Preferred Certifications: Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Foundation.
