Join our esteemed organization as a Senior Security Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in our Enterprise Security Operations Center (ESOC) and Computer Security Incident Response Capability (CSIRC). This remote position offers the opportunity to safeguard sensitive information across government systems while collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and upkeep of security documentation, ensuring compliance with government and organizational standards.
- Conduct comprehensive Security Control Assessments (SCAs) for approximately 63 systems annually, addressing any identified vulnerabilities.
- Lead the 24⁄7 operations of the CSIRC, monitoring and responding to cybersecurity incidents, particularly those involving sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Develop and maintain a Cyberthreat Dashboard to enhance the visibility of emerging threats and support proactive defense mechanisms.
- Spearhead the Vulnerability Management Program, identifying and rectifying security weaknesses in a timely manner.
- Monitor network activity to detect unauthorized actions and administer security tools to protect ESOC operations.
- Ensure the security of financial systems in compliance with the standards set forth by the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO).
- Provide security support for various applications and databases, ensuring adherence to government regulations and best practices.
- Profound technical experience in senior IT management solutions.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools.
- Familiarity with government security and compliance standards, including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
- Expertise in cybersecurity incident management, risk assessment, and vulnerability evaluation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of enterprise-level IT experience, with at least 5 years supporting large government contracts within the last decade.
- Required Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Preferred Certifications: Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Foundation.
