Remote Senior Software Engineer - Landscape | WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and driven Senior Software Engineer to become an integral part of our dynamic team, focused on developing the next-generation management solution for Ubuntu tailored for enterprise environments, both on-premises and in the cloud. This position represents a thrilling opportunity for those with a passion for open-source software, Linux, Python, and extensive web services.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with a globally distributed team across multiple time zones.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code to introduce new features, rectify bugs, and enhance the Landscape codebase.
• Uphold code quality through automated testing and stringent quality assurance practices.
• Engage in code and architecture reviews, contributing to the enhancement of overall system architecture.
• Assume ownership of projects, leading them from conceptualization to delivery.
• Participate in travel for 2-4 weeks per year for both internal and external events, while enjoying the flexibility of remote work from any location within the Americas region.
• Assist in release management throughout each development cycle to ensure seamless delivery.
• Work in partnership with DevOps teams to facilitate the smooth operation of the hosted Landscape SaaS solution.
  
  

Required Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in Python, with familiarity in frameworks such as Flask and Django.
• Experience in developing public-facing APIs and web applications.
• Proficient in database management and ORMs, particularly with PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable utilizing Ubuntu for both development and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, emphasizing effective solution delivery.
