Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain a high-performing, scalable, and reliable backend infrastructure.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our architectural design, feature components, and the software development lifecycle.
- Convert product specifications and technical blueprints into high-quality, efficient, and robust code.
- Explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance our platform's architecture and user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and support the professional growth of junior engineers through mentorship.
- Detect performance issues and recommend actionable solutions to optimize system efficiency.
- Manage complex software releases and ensure seamless deployments.
- Conduct thorough software analysis, testing, and debugging to maintain platform integrity.
- Advocate for best practices in coding and utilize static code analysis tools for maintaining high standards.
- Collaborate with offshore teams, providing direction and support on product development initiatives.
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Over 8 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing Java applications.
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles and their application in real-world scenarios.
- Expertise in backend services or distributed systems, with an understanding of how backend code interacts with the database layer.
- Proficient in object-oriented programming languages and familiar with technologies such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Basic understanding of client-side JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
