Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee secure Linux environments to ensure the integrity and reliability of essential systems.
- Create and manage virtual environments utilizing VMware, streamlining resource management and enhancing system adaptability.
- Actively contribute to national cyber missions, engaging in both offensive and defensive operations in collaboration with entities such as US Cyber Command (USCC).
- Employ your advanced technical skills to devise innovative solutions to intricate problems.
- Independently execute tasks while effectively collaborating on team projects to deliver successful outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Engage in Windows and Linux systems engineering, participating in system design, evaluation, and administration efforts.
- Continuously update your knowledge regarding emerging technologies and the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats.
- Identify and implement enhancements to database solutions for improved data management and accessibility.
- Exhibit flexibility and readiness for shift work to support 24⁄7 operational requirements.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Linux environments.
- At least 2 years of experience in constructing and managing virtual environments using VMware.
- Proven experience in supporting national cyber missions, ideally within offensive and defensive frameworks.
- A TS/SCI security clearance, complemented by a polygraph examination.
- A high school diploma or GED accompanied by 7 years of IT experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
- DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, including Security CE.
- Experience with operating and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux servers is advantageous.
- Background as a Network Administrator or Systems Engineer is also beneficial.
- Familiarity with Assured Compliant Assessment Solution (ACAS) or Tenable Nessus security scanners is a plus.
- Knowledge of various layers of the technology stack, including network, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions is desirable.
