Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the tools and technologies essential for constructing and sustaining next-generation Ubuntu-based container images, focusing on performance, security, and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee the delivery of premium quality container images.
- Spearhead the implementation and management of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation for container image pipelines.
- Engage with significant projects, including Rocks (OCI images) and Chisel, while helping to shape a new team.
- Write security compliance tools and tests to ensure cloud-native compatibility.
- Participate in code and architectural reviews to uphold superior engineering standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and support the recruitment process, sharing your expertise and knowledge within the team.
- In-depth knowledge of software development, particularly in Python.
- Proven experience collaborating effectively within a development setting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Concourse CI.
- Solid track record of delivering high-quality software on schedule.
- Experience with containerized operations and at least one container management/orchestration tool (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficient in Linux systems administration and package management.
