Key Responsibilities
- Develop and code IT solutions utilizing Python to enhance enterprise-level customer experience applications.
- Document systems comprehensively, execute unit tests, conduct peer code reviews, and maintain applications developed in-house.
- Assess and perform performance testing on third-party products.
- Implement IT controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of applications and associated data.
- Contribute to system architecture, coding, testing, and change management processes.
- Work across a variety of databases, including SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, dBase, MS Access, etc.
- Design and construct RESTful APIs using Python, ensuring a resilient and scalable system architecture.
- Manage batch file processing and scheduling, while ensuring effective data management.
- Collaborate with the team to evaluate diverse technologies and libraries, ensuring they fulfill business and technical criteria.
- Demonstrated expertise in unit testing, release protocols, and change management.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of the systems development life cycle.
- Extensive experience with SQL scripting and advanced database management techniques.
- Proficient in Python programming and related libraries, particularly for REST API development and batch file processing.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and PySpark, along with experience in a Hadoop ecosystem.
- Proven track record working with large volumes of data (millions of records) and conducting data analysis.
- Proficiency in desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools like Visio.
- Methodical in assessing technologies and libraries to align with business requirements.
- An intrinsic motivation to learn and evolve, coupled with a keen interest in understanding processes and data flow.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 5 years of professional experience in technical design and coding within the IT sector.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and advanced SQL capabilities.
