Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, development, and successful execution of UAV projects.
- Manage the scheduling, performance, and operational efficiency of multiple UAV projects and personnel.
- Define project scope and engage in contract negotiations.
- Develop and track project budgets, implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Guide the team in creating database and schema criteria relevant to UAV services.
- Coordinate UAV flight requests, pilot assignments, and data acquisition activities, including Mapping, Photography, Video, LiDAR, and QA/QC of deliverables.
- Supervise UAV flight and processing software while nurturing partnerships with platforms like SkySkopes, DroneDeploy, and Pix4D.
- Engage in business development activities, including responding to RFPs, giving presentations, and preparing proposals.
- Organize project assignments and oversee UAV technicians and specialists.
- Analyze remote sensing platform data to extract meaningful insights.
- Assist in the development and design of remote sensing applications aligned with project objectives.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Minimum of 8 years of applicable GIS and/or UAV experience.
- Valid Remote Pilot Certification.
- Preferred Remote Sensing Certification.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and associated application extensions.
- Knowledge of data management within Relational Database Management Systems.
- Familiarity with data analytics, advanced data visualization techniques, and Big Data concepts.
- Experience with web-based GIS services and mapping tools.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
