This role focuses on assisting customers in optimizing their laser cutting operations while providing exceptional technical support and training for various laser cutting and CAD/CAM programming software applications. As a key player in our organization, you will facilitate the integration of advanced manufacturing technology to enhance customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver remote, in-house, and on-site training and technical support for laser cutting machines and CAD/CAM software applications.
- Travel approximately 50% of the time to interact directly with customers and provide hands-on training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully launch and refine new product lines.
- Manage and prioritize software enhancement and bug fix lists, testing updates post-implementation.
- Maintain and develop databases related to laser cutting parameters.
- Provide clear communication to customers, offering assistance and troubleshooting solutions.
- Create instructional resources, including knowledge base articles and training materials.
- Conduct product demonstrations for prospective customers to showcase capabilities.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure all product deliveries align with customer expectations.
- Attend industry trade shows to represent our products and stay informed on market trends.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Hands-on experience with laser cutting machinery and the ability to clean and change laser cutting heads.
- Strong understanding of database and parameter development.
- Advanced knowledge of G&M code.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC equipment and material handling systems is a plus.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to task completion.
- Preferred education includes an Associate's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with laser cutting machinery is desirable.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Willingness to travel as needed for training and support purposes.
