Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop optimal integration solutions for Ubuntu on the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with industry-leading partners to deliver a seamless and optimized Ubuntu experience on diverse platforms.
• Contribute to the enhancement of the Ubuntu ecosystem by developing technical plans, testing strategies, and quality metrics.
• Serve as a technical lead during complex customer engagements, focusing on comprehensive system architectures from cloud to edge.
• Assist clients in integrating applications, SDKs, and optimizing usage across Ubuntu Core, Desktop, and Server.
• Explore advanced operating systems and application technologies relevant to IoT and enterprise server environments.
  
  

Required Skills

• Profound enthusiasm for technology and collaboration with talented individuals.
• Expertise in C and C programming languages.
• Experience with Linux packaging formats, including Debian, RPM, and Yocto.
• Familiarity with open-source communities and licensing frameworks.
• Strong foundational knowledge in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and HTTP/REST.
• Basic understanding of security protocols pertinent to IoT or server contexts.
• Hands-on experience with IoT/Embedded systems, encompassing SoCs, BMCs, bootloaders, firmware, operating systems, applications, and services.
• Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker, OCI containers, or Kubernetes (K8s) is advantageous.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a STEM discipline, or a related field.
• Experience in graphics stacks is a plus.
