Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential investment opportunities that align with our strategic objectives.
- Develop comprehensive investment memorandums and oversee the Investment Committee processes.
- Monitor existing portfolio investments and provide ongoing support to founders across various initiatives.
- Collaborate with our back office and finance team to uphold fund performance metrics.
- Manage deal flow and maintain relevant database entries.
- Engage with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, incubators, and other sources to bolster our deal pipeline.
- Present investment opportunities and collaborate with the Managing Partner and other teams.
- Cultivate professional relationships with deal sources and entrepreneurs to foster engagement.
- Partner with sister funds to identify and pursue mutually beneficial investment opportunities.
- Generate proprietary deal and market intelligence, along with creating insightful content.
- Participate in relevant trade shows, events, and conferences to enhance our visibility.
- Contribute positively to the company culture and work environment.
- Strong analytical and financial analysis capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and writing proficiency.
- Professional demeanor with superior relationship-building abilities.
- Capacity to evaluate and critique a venture's business model, market opportunity, and founding team.
- Familiarity with the venture capital community, encompassing leading investment funds and key partners.
- Knowledge of typical venture capital deal structures, terms, and industry practices.
- Interest in and understanding of current technology trends.
- Proven networking skills to expand our ecosystem and identify new investment avenues.
- Detail-oriented mindset with high accuracy in data organization and reporting.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- MBA or an advanced degree; a degree from MIT is highly preferred.
- Background in engineering, technology, or startups is advantageous.
- 1-5 years of venture capital experience along with 5-10 years of overall professional experience.
- Additional venture or startup experience will be considered when assessing the appropriate title (Senior Associate, Principal, or Senior Principal).
