Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, addressing inquiries and providing continuous support.
  • Propose enhancements for retirement plans and assist clients in navigating their retirement options.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless transition to our services.
  • Conduct essential compliance testing for plans, including but not limited to coverage, nondiscrimination, and top-heavy testing.
  • Calculate employer contributions and reconcile trust accounts for precision.
  • Prepare and file necessary governmental reports and compliance documentation.
  • Interpret plan document stipulations and coordinate efforts with other service providers, including financial advisors, auditors, and payroll teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving retirement plan regulations through ongoing education and research.
  • Process transactions including loans, distributions, Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs).
  • Identify and implement enhancements within our operational framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine processes and elevate our deliverables.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues and engage in internal initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in 401(k) plan administration, particularly in compliance testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics.
  • Possession or pursuit of relevant professional certifications (e.g., QPA, QKA, AKS, APA) is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and advanced Excel skills.
  • While candidates located near our Maple Grove office are preferred, we are open to considering qualified remote applicants.
