Job Title: IT Support Technician - Consultant/Freelance

Job Overview

We are currently looking for seasoned freelance IT Support Technicians to deliver on-demand and ad-hoc IT assistance in the Los Angeles area. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse clientele while resolving a variety of technical issues through both remote and on-site support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure workstations to meet client specifications.
  • Deliver end-user support to executives and key personnel, addressing both hardware and software needs, including security measures like password management.
  • Manage data file transfers, restorations, and assist with migrations from Windows 7 to Windows 10 utilizing tools such as Azure, SCCM, and PXE boot.
  • Conduct basic networking tasks, encompassing rack/stack/patch duties and remote hands support.
  • Operate within Active Directory (AD), managing domains and group policies as needed.
  • Provide configurations and support for email systems, audio/video conferencing, and VoIP devices.
  • Facilitate timely and efficient executive-level technical support.
  • Address technical issues related to commonly used applications and devices, including MFD network printers and Office365 applications.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in providing support within an enterprise IT environment, with proficiency in Windows and some Apple/Mac hardware.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office365, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online.
  • Solid understanding of Azure, Intune, and various cloud services.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows Server, Mac OS X (Server/Workgroup Manager), iOS, and Windows 7 through 10.
  • Experience in printer setup and management, particularly with Xerox, Canon, and HP models.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team framework.
  • Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant IT support experience is required.
  • Experience with enterprise solutions and end-user support is essential.
  • Relevant IT certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
