Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients including property owners, developers, lenders, and investors in all facets of commercial real estate transactions.
- Oversee intricate aspects of leasing, development, and financing related to commercial properties.
- Manage title, survey, and due diligence processes relevant to real estate matters.
- Facilitate commercial lending transactions, addressing both real estate and asset-based loans.
- Provide insights on affordable housing initiatives and tax credit opportunities (preferred but not mandatory).
- Navigate entitlement, zoning, and tax considerations pertinent to real estate and construction dealings (preferred).
- Draft and negotiate comprehensive agreements and documents, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout their legal endeavors.
- Extensive experience in real estate transactions, particularly in commercial leasing, development, and financing.
- Superior writing and oral communication capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong self-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Current licensure in Illinois or eligibility for licensure via UBE score.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Significant background in real estate law and transactions, particularly within commercial settings.
