Key Responsibilities
- Manage all dimensions of real estate litigation, encompassing case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial proceedings
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in various court proceedings, including motions, hearings, and trials
- Provide legal counsel to clients on real estate conflicts, rights, and strategic options
- Negotiate settlements that yield the most favorable results for clients
- Prepare for trial through evidence collection, witness depositions, and document examination
- Address disputes such as landlord-tenant issues, contractual disagreements, and property litigations
- Analyze and review real estate agreements, leases, deeds, and associated documents
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, paralegals, and support staff for optimal case management
- Ensure adherence to New York real estate laws and regulations, advising clients on risk management strategies
- Advocate for clients in mediation or arbitration settings to facilitate efficient dispute resolution
- Stay updated on developments in real estate law, regulations, and relevant case law in New York
- Strong litigation and negotiation abilities
- Excellent proficiency in both written and verbal communication
- 2 years of experience in Real Estate Litigation within New York
- Must be licensed to practice law in New York
