Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analyses and investigations of litigated personal lines homeowner claims.
- Meticulously document pertinent file information, encompassing statements, appraisals, photographs, police investigations, and other relevant data.
- Engage with attorneys concerning case defenses, discovery processes, and regulatory frameworks related to claim payment timelines.
- Participate in claims settlement conferences and mediation hearings.
- Negotiate and resolve claims with insured parties, claimants, or their legal representatives, either directly or via legal counsel.
- Manage claims settlement exposures effectively.
- Interpret coverage by applying policy contract provisions in accordance with regulatory standards and internal quality protocols, ensuring comprehensive documentation to establish a record of events.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing or overseeing litigation files.
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
- Expertise in Hurricane, Wind/Water/Theft/Fire claims.
- Comprehensive Florida Litigation experience and familiarity with state statutes and policies.
- Proficient computer skills essential for documentation and communication.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills demonstrating the ability to prioritize work within deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the role.
- Self-motivated critical thinker capable of independently resolving issues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- A minimum of five years of experience in litigation file management is required.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary for this role.
