In your capacity as Tax Manager, you will be pivotal to our tax department, overseeing various dimensions of tax compliance, strategy, and planning. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review year-end tax provisions (ASC 740), encompassing book-to-tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, and deferred tax adjustments.
- Oversee quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions for federal and state returns.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international income tax returns, including developing and reviewing work papers.
- Manage indirect tax computations.
- Support tax audit defense and resolution processes.
- Conduct technical tax research and draft comprehensive memorandums.
- Facilitate mergers, acquisitions, and special projects, such as R&D and transfer pricing studies.
- Lead the integration of tax technology tools and support enhancements.
- Advocate for continuous improvement in tax processes and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively across tax disciplines and the broader organization on tax-related initiatives.
- Advise the executive management team on various tax matters and upcoming legislative changes.
- Manage consulting relationships with external tax firms.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Advanced Degree highly preferred).
- CPA certification (Required).
- 4-5 years of accounting experience (minimum of 3 years in public accounting required), including:
- 4-5 years of federal and state corporate income tax compliance experience.
- 3 years of tax provision experience (ASC 740).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to follow-through.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong inclination towards process enhancement.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High integrity and sound judgment.
