Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our esteemed organization as a full-time Assistant Treasurer. This position is ideal for someone who possesses a meticulous attention to detail, enjoys engaging with quantitative analysis, and is dedicated to maintaining accuracy in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of the organization's investment portfolio, which includes transaction purchases, sales, and ongoing monthly analytics, while ensuring precise record maintenance.
• Partner with the Treasurer to strategically manage the organization's balance sheet.
• Contribute to liquidity management efforts to ascertain adequate liquidity for both operational and regulatory necessities, involving advanced modeling to assess liquidity and funding strategies.
• Aid in the administration of the organization’s derivatives portfolio, including back-to-back swap programs and Mortgage Service Rights hedge initiatives.
• Develop and produce Treasury reports for senior management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of materials for the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO).
• Generate and maintain reports that analyze macroeconomic trends.
• Act as a liaison to various departments concerning treasury-related projects and initiatives.
• Update and ensure adherence to all pertinent treasury policies and procedures.
• Monitor daily cash flow and manage collateral efficiently.
• Conduct responsibilities in alignment with applicable industry regulations, as well as established policies and procedures.
• Advocate for Fair and Responsible Banking practices, abiding by the Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
• Participate actively in the organization's Community Reinvestment Act program.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant financial role.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient financial analytical skills, complemented by excellent verbal and written communication capabilities, especially in presenting financial analyses.
• A strong work ethic, self-driven, and able to work independently.
• Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Highly organized with a strong focus on detail.
• An MBA or advanced degree in a related field is advantageous.
