Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court and before regulatory agencies in civil litigation matters.
- Provide sound legal advice regarding claim liability, business dealings, and legal obligations.
- Conduct thorough legal research and interpret relevant laws, rulings, and regulations.
- Draft and prepare essential legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and motions.
- Collect evidence through client and witness interviews to inform case strategies.
- Engage in settlement negotiations related to civil disputes.
- Oversee administrative and case management tasks within the practice.
- Present and summarize cases effectively in front of judges and juries.
- Mentor and supervise legal assistants.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
- At least 4 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Proficient in handling PIP, premises liability, and first/third-party claims.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, maintaining professionalism in high-pressure scenarios.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities.
- Effective management of multiple cases and deadlines.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms and the MS Office Suite.
- Commitment to client service and the development of robust professional relationships.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in insurance defense litigation.
