Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Property Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the financial accounting related to commercial and retail properties.
• Conducting Common Area Maintenance (CAM) Reconciliation and Audits.
• Managing due diligence projects and facilitating the setup of new properties.
• Engaging in budgeting, forecasting, and forensic accounting project management.
• Reconciling general ledger accounts and ensuring accurate month-end closing activities.
• Reviewing lease agreements and interpreting their implications on accounting processes.
• Communicating effectively and professionally with clients.
• Utilizing accounting software such as Yardi and MRI, along with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  
  

Required Skills

Candidates should possess:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or retail property management accounting.
• Proficiency in CAM Reconciliation and Audits.
• Strong analytical skills for budgeting and forecasting.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• The ability to troubleshoot issues using accounting principles and concepts.
• Tech-savviness, including familiarity with remote work tools and systems.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in handling Month-End Closing and Bank Reconciliations.
