Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents pertaining to estate planning, trust administration, and real estate title issues in compliance with Florida law.
- Organize and gather necessary documentation from clients and relevant agencies, ensuring everything is current.
- Provide e-filing assistance and prepare responses to discovery requests.
- Manage and maintain electronic case files, ensuring accessibility and organization.
- Coordinate schedules by setting deadlines and arranging hearings or depositions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, judicial offices, and other relevant parties to facilitate efficient case progression.
- Conduct legal research as needed.
- Meet with clients as needed through phone or video conferencing.
- Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents specifically in estate planning, trust administration, and real estate law.
- Strong organizational skills for managing electronic case files and scheduling hearings.
- Excellent communication abilities that facilitate collaboration with diverse professionals.
- Familiarity with Wealth Counsel/Form Builder (WestLaw) and Clio is advantageous.
- Must possess Microsoft Office and Adobe programs.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in estate planning, trust administration, or real estate title work.
- Must be a full-time freelancer, without any current W2 commitments.
- Availability during standard business hours (Monday-Friday) within the client's time zone.
- A Paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree is required.
- Must have a reliable computer with at least 8 GB of RAM (preferably 16 GB) with a preference for SSD storage.
