Position Overview

Our organization specializes in providing vital Guardianship and Conservatorship services to seniors and adults with disabilities, ensuring that their legal, clinical, and financial needs are met with utmost care and compassion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documentation relating to adult Guardianship and Conservatorship matters, including annual assessments and allowances.
- Oversee the service of Probate Citations on clients and interested parties.
- Manage an Outlook calendar, keeping track of upcoming court hearings, meetings, pre-trial conferences, and critical deadlines.
- Assist in the administration and sale of client-owned real estate and personal property, coordinating maintenance, appraisals, and cleanouts as needed.
- Maintain both physical legal files and an electronic health record system.
- Acquire necessary Bonds, medical records, and other documentation for judicial proceedings.
- File pleadings either in-person, via mail, or through an e-filing system as appropriate.
- Execute clerical tasks such as initiating legal files for new clients, preparing materials for case review, responding to phone calls and emails, scheduling meetings or hearings, and procuring office supplies.
- There may be occasional travel required for in-person filing at courts or to meet with contractors at client properties.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and related software applications.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Empathy and understanding towards clients facing challenging circumstances.
- A High School Diploma is a prerequisite.
- A minimum of three years of office experience is required.
- Familiarity with probate, real estate, or elder law is preferred but not mandatory.
