Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire loan application process from submission to closing, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.
- Liaise with borrowers, loan officers, and external stakeholders to gather and verify essential documentation, such as employment confirmations, credit reports, and bank statements.
- Identify and rectify discrepancies or incomplete information within loan files, ensuring compliance with mortgage regulations.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to track loan conditions and resolve outstanding issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan records in alignment with internal policies and industry standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including drafting commitment letters and coordinating with closing teams.
- An Associate's degree and a minimum of one year of experience in the mortgage sector, or three years of relevant administrative or customer service experience.
- Alternatively, six months of mortgage processing experience (preferably with M&T Bank) along with an additional 6-12 months in customer service or financial services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with loan processing software.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, emphasizing a strong customer service orientation.
- Capability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and manage a high volume of loan applications.
- Previous experience in loan processing, underwriting, or financial services is preferred.
- Self-driven and goal-oriented, with the ability to manage responsibilities without direct supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
