Key Responsibilities
- Supervise property and liability insurance programs for all assets.
- Assess and secure suitable insurance coverage for new acquisitions.
- Oversee the renewal process for existing insurance policies.
- Evaluate and compare insurance proposals to identify the most advantageous coverage and cost options.
- Perform regular risk assessments to detect potential exposures and formulate strategies to reduce losses.
- Act as the main liaison for insurance brokers and carriers; negotiate terms, coverage, and premiums to drive cost efficiencies.
- Manage all insurance claims, ensuring prompt and effective resolution while coordinating with legal counsel and adjusters as required.
- Ensure compliance of all insurance programs with legal and regulatory standards.
- Track and report on insurance expenditures, budgeting, and forecasting; identify opportunities for cost savings without sacrificing coverage quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance management, preferably in the real estate sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of property and casualty insurance products and relevant regulations.
- Proven capability in negotiating insurance terms and managing broker relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance management software.
- Professional designations such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) are advantageous.
