We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the management of project scope, cost, and timelines for extensive projects or substantial portions of complex initiatives. Your role will involve providing crucial IT program support services to facilitate effective IT and portfolio management practices while ensuring the excellence of program contract delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and support the planning, design, development, implementation, and management of comprehensive governance strategies and integrated IT project plans.
- Assist clients in the execution and maintenance of governance frameworks, plans, and tools.
- Facilitate compliance with FITARA requirements related to IT acquisitions and investment decisions.
- Align PMO capabilities with industry best practices and standards, such as the Enterprise Project Management Review (EPMR) framework.
- Evaluate and recommend governance and project management tools, including training and support initiatives.
- Directly assist federal IT Project Managers with specific implementation projects, ensuring PMO activities are executed effectively.
- Conduct performance assessments and facilitate lessons learned sessions for IT initiatives.
- Analyze financial and technical feasibility to enhance planning and management processes.
- Create and refine project management support documentation, including project plans and resource allocation strategies.
- Track action items and provide management support to federal managers across assigned projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive process integration throughout the organization.
- Expertise in IT project/program management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinking capabilities and problem-solving proficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in IT project management.
