Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Coordinate the entire new hire process, ensuring a smooth and welcoming introduction for newcomers. Handle all background checks and investigations with discretion.
Record Management: Maintain meticulous employment records and personnel files. Process personnel actions accurately and within required timeframes. Manage employee data within our Human Resource Information System and handle sensitive information like garnishments with confidentiality and care.
Benefits Administration: Serve as the point of contact for employee benefits, responding to queries and assisting with the open enrollment process. Ensure timely updates to benefits records and conduct regular benefits audits.
Payroll and Timekeeping: Oversee payroll validations and organization, and input employee work schedules into our timekeeping system promptly.
Compliance and Reporting: Maintain records for state and federal requirements, prepare management reports, and distribute exception reports to relevant supervisors and managers.
Safety and Compliance: Engage in Workers Compensation reviews and analysis of injury reports in line with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience: At least one year of experience in Human Resources, payroll, or a clerical role is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer software, especially spreadsheets and word processing.
Certifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is a plus.
Other: Must have a valid driver's license.
