Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary instructor and teacher of record, driving towards the achievement of all student-related goals and state-specific academic benchmarks.
Conduct engaging live lessons via web conference, tailored to individual student needs and grounded in research-based instructional methods.
Set up courses within our Learning Management System and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and grading assignments.
Maintain regular communication with students and families, offering support and guidance as needed.
Collaborate with the Principal to compile and deliver progress reports on student performance.
Utilize student data to inform instructional adjustments and differentiate teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, integrating culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions.
Support school-wide culture initiatives and participate in non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips.
Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families.
Attend in-person events and state testing sessions as required.
Requirements
Hold a current state teaching license in the relevant content area.
Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Ideally, possess at least two years of teaching experience.
Comfortable working in a growth-oriented coaching environment, with a focus on ongoing professional development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and supervise students in various school settings.
Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks.
