Position Overview
The Provider Educator, reporting to the Manager of Provider Education, plays a crucial role in facilitating comprehensive analysis, reporting, training, and support for providers and care teams across various medical offices. This role focuses on promoting accurate clinical documentation and identifying risk adjustment opportunities through chart reviews and analytics.
Responsibilities & Expectations
Provide comprehensive education to internal and external providers on condition identification, documentation, and coding.
Ensure providers are well-versed in CMS compliance and guidelines.
Foster collaborative relationships with providers, office managers, and internal teams.
Stay updated on relevant healthcare regulations, guidelines, and documentation changes.
Conduct chart audits to identify areas for improved documentation.
Educate providers on Risk Adjustment, Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC), and CMS Documentation Guidelines.
Flexibly accommodate provider schedules for education and training sessions.
Collaborate with providers to improve identification, documentation, and coding practices.
Assist in onboarding and training new primary care providers and nurse practitioners.
Analyze coding performance indicators and develop provider improvement plans.
Contribute to the development and revision of educational materials and procedures.
Attend weekly team meetings and participate in training forums as needed.
Travel as required to support Quality Operations initiatives.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Foreign Medical Graduate or MD/RN License.

Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Results-oriented with a focus on quality execution.
