Position Summary

As an Inside Mortgage Sales Consultant, you will operate under the general guidance of the Consumer Direct Sales Manager, with a primary focus on retaining our servicing portfolio and driving loan volume through diverse inbound and outbound lead sources. You will represent our mortgage products while ensuring our high-quality standards through training and mentoring your assigned colleagues. Collaborating closely with the Mortgage Consultant Team Lead, you will devise effective strategies to achieve your sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate mortgage loans from inbound leads, current portfolios, and various campaigns.
  • Process applications by analyzing clients' income and debts, inputting loan data into our automated underwriting system, and submitting loan applications for processing.
  • Secure all necessary documentation for processing, underwriting, and closing in a timely manner during the origination process.
  • Conduct daily outbound calls and follow up with existing portfolios to retain accounts.
  • Respond to incoming calls and assist customers with inquiries.
  • Conduct interviews with applicants to collect information regarding their goals and determine the most suitable product, terms, and pricing.
  • Meet departmental and individual sales and production targets.
  • Utilize checklists to ensure all content is organized and accessible for Processors and Underwriters.
  • Maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Adhere to all company policies, standards, and protocols.

Required Skills

  • Valid NMLS License.
  • Minimum of 1 year of phone sales experience in the mortgage refinance and purchase markets.
  • Outstanding communication capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple loans and shifting priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex financial data.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the required hours of operation.

Qualifications

  • NMLS License is mandatory.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in phone sales within the mortgage industry.
