Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement ambitious yet attainable profit targets for the ingredient division.
- Drive business operations and financial analysis, pinpointing avenues for profit enhancement and business advancement.
- Work in tandem with manufacturing, business management, logistics, and other divisional leaders to optimize profitability.
- Identify cost efficiencies, assess the financial consequences of new projects, and address variances.
- Spearhead business growth by aligning business requirements with financial systems, potentially developing new processes and systems.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations and controls, encompassing monthly reports, financial statement evaluations, and corporate submissions.
- Oversee the accounting close functions and processes, including trade, marketing, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Direct critical projects (e.g., systems integration, product line optimization) for the business unit.
- Assist customer management by evaluating the financial viability of new and existing business ventures and overseeing distribution costs.
- Conduct channel analyses and financial reviews as necessary.
- Scrutinize costs associated with selling, merchandising, and distribution.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team, nurturing a culture of ethical behavior and cultivating future leaders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA is preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in a finance setting, inclusive of public accounting exposure.
- Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing context; experience in the dairy sector is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong financial and business insight, with a capacity for independent work.
- Proficient data analysis and problem-resolution abilities.
- Extensive knowledge in budgeting and forecasting, along with financial modeling experience.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and PowerBI is beneficial.
- Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Capability to engage effectively with all organizational levels, including executive leadership and the board of directors.
- Ability to uphold confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptability and a constructive attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to foster relationships, resolve conflicts, and adapt to change.
