Key Responsibilities
- Provide authoritative programmatic leadership for the medical services contract at designated medical units, including Office of Field Operations (OFO) ports of entry and U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) stations.
- Supervise personnel, monitoring their progress, and ensuring thorough vetting and orientation.
- Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient day-to-day operations within medical units.
- Develop and implement logistics and procurement strategies for assigned medical units.
- Uphold quality and safety standards through effective risk management programs, medical event reporting, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance and establishing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements, delivering timely and accurate reports.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for contract employees.
- Organize and coordinate medical in-service training for physicians and clinical staff.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and Privacy Act regulations.
- Stay informed on relevant policies, procedures, directives, and memoranda from DHS and CBP.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of management experience within healthcare services.
- Strong analytical, planning, and relationship management capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in logistical planning and operational support.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven track record of managing diverse teams in high-pressure settings.
- Effective leadership, negotiation, and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Relevant management or Human Resources certifications (PMP, CPC, CSP, etc.) are desired.
- Familiarity with electronic medical documentation is essential.
- U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (current clearance preferred).
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
- Capability to fulfill the physical demands of the role, including walking, standing, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
