Key Responsibilities
- Provide empathetic support to families of potential organ and tissue donors during difficult experiences.
- Manage incoming referrals and collect necessary medical information to facilitate the donation process.
- Coordinate logistics for tissue recovery, ensuring a seamless and respectful experience for all involved.
- Collaborate effectively with a professional team that includes medical staff, hospital personnel, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with families and team members.
- High level of empathy and compassion in handling sensitive situations.
- Organizational proficiency to manage multiple coordination tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with medical terminology to accurately process information related to tissue donation.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of relevant experience; or
- An Associate's degree, certification or license, along with 3 years of relevant experience in the medical field, health sciences, mental health, or counseling, especially in crisis intervention and/or grief counseling.
