Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care, following established protocols and regulations.
- Ensure the safe transfer and transportation of patients requiring various levels of medical assistance.
- Execute necessary medical procedures and interventions within the scope of your practice.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient care documentation.
- Uphold a clean and professional appearance at all times.
- Regularly inspect and maintain ambulances and medical equipment for optimal performance.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow team members and other healthcare professionals.
- Foster a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Certification as a Maryland Paramedic and willingness to obtain DC Paramedic certification.
- Current CPR, National Certification, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capability to lift 150 lbs and assist patients of diverse sizes.
- Skill in safely navigating stretchers in various environments.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate and respectful patient care.
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Experience in inter-facility transport is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for drivers).
- EVOC certification or equivalent (for drivers of ALS units).
