You will serve as the main liaison among freight forwarders, compliance teams, customer relations, sales, supply chain, and shipping/receiving departments, guaranteeing timely and pristine deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee logistics operations for shipments from Asia to our U.S. facilities, ensuring effective collaboration with carriers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain communication with 3PL providers and ocean carriers to provide updated shipment statuses for reporting and analytical purposes.
- Procure freight quotes and perform capacity analysis ahead of shipments to mitigate delays.
- Facilitate coordination of inbound ocean, air, LCL, and parcel shipments with international teams and supply chain management.
- Conduct thorough audits of freight invoices to ensure accuracy in accordance with quoted rates and assessorial charges.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities by supporting RFP processes and analyzing shipping trends.
- Formulate and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for carriers, 3PLs, and internal teams.
- Engage in weekly meetings to discuss transportation strategies, process enhancements, and other significant topics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and advancements in technology.
- Collaborate with other teams as required, including the NA Logistics Manager and Analytics teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with ERP and TMS systems, with familiarity in Oracle EBS being advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in international shipping, specifically involving ocean, LCL, air, and parcel modes.
- Strong Excel capabilities.
- A collaborative mindset paired with quick analytical skills and exceptional organizational abilities.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the logistics sector with an emphasis on international shipping operations.
- Understanding of basic freight pricing structures and terms, along with 3PL handling procedures.
