We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Associate Attorney to enhance our Workers' Compensation team. This remote position allows you to engage directly with clients and contribute significantly to our mission of defending employee rights across California. You will report to a Managing Partner and benefit from the robust support of a well-equipped team of paralegals and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of Workers' Compensation cases to successful resolution
- Prepare clients for depositions and represent them during depositions
- Handle invoicing related to depositions
- Mentor associates on settlement strategies, legal inquiries, and case management processes
- Conduct re-evaluations of cases, including authorizing settlements and advising on negotiation tactics
- Address client inquiries that necessitate attorney-level negotiation
- Provide direction and support to non-attorney staff as needed
- Participate in trials and hearings where attorney representation is essential
- Assist associates in navigating complex client interactions
- Foster a positive team environment and participate in both professional and social team events
- Contribute to management feedback to enhance the firm's performance
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Managing Partner or Operations Manager
