Position: Sr Network Automation Development Engineer (Advance)
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid/On-Site)
Job Type: 6-13 Months Contract to hire (Full Time)
Note: This is a W2 role (do not apply for C2C)
Note: Looking for a strong Sr Engineer with extensive systems engineering and development within the Virtual Machine and Networking space, the position is about 80% hands-on coding.
Required Skills:
- 10 years of development experience, with significant experience in systems development for virtual machines, networking, and infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following coding languages: Java, C , Python.
- SDN experience required.
- Extensive experience working with Hypervisors, KVM strongly preferred.
- Strong virtualization experience VMware preferred.
- Linux skills, and a strong understanding of network storage.
- Good understanding of APIs, how open-source products interact with networks and virtualization.

Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in designing and developing software, with a strong focus on infrastructure and network knowledge.
- This role requires a deep understanding of open-source software development, hypervisors, and software-defined networking technologies such as NSX.
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
- Leverage open-source software like open stack, and KVM to build robust and scalable infrastructure applications.
- Demonstrate expertise in infrastructure and network architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software-defined networking solutions like NSX.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and network issues.
