What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager Medical Coding & Consulting / REMOTE position at GetixHealth?
The GetixHealth outsourced medical services division provides medical coding, healthcare consulting and credentialing services to hospitals, clinics, and medical providers throughout the United States. Our entity is expanding with new clients and are seeking a professional to assist in delivery of our outstanding healthcare services. GetixHealth supports our clients as they navigate increasing medical encounter volumes, reducing days in the revenue cycle and dealing with staffing shortages.
Compensation: $72,800 based on experience, Annual Bonus Eligibility
Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Expertise in understanding the challenges of revenue cycle management, project management and meeting strict timelines
- Screen, plan, staff and execute workflow for new engagements
- Research and resolve difficult coding questions for staff and clients
- Provides oversight of the outsourced engagements by assuring the quality of the service line product, while simultaneously meeting the client’s requests for services
- Facilitate and coordinate the training of existing and new professional coding, consulting or credentialing staff
- Manage healthcare projects
- Coordinating staff coverage
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATIONAL CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School or GED
- Additional tertiary education / courses highly preferred
- 2 Years minimum of abstract coding experience
- Must hold one of these certificates and be able to provide copy:
- CPC, Specialty
- CIC
- CCS
- CCS-P
- CCS-H
- RHIT
- RHIA
- Excellent people and supervisory skills
- Able to describe good customer service
- Expertise in understanding the challenges of revenue cycle management, project management and meeting strict timelines
- Experience and or an understanding of government and commercial enrollment is desired but not required.
- Experience managing healthcare projects
- Experience coordinating staffing coverage
