Qualifications
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all policies and procedures in this manual and the GAMG Accounting Manual are adhered to. Foremost, these responsibilities ensures that the accounting records accurately reflect the dealership’s actual monthly operating results.
- Record all transactions (i.e., sales, etc.) that occur on a daily basis so that the Daily Operating Control (or comparable report) accurately reflects the financial position of the dealership at any point in time during the month.
- Prompt preparation of the factory and internal Financial Statements each month-end. The appropriate number of copies of this must be processed and downloaded to GAMG no later than the 5th working day of the next month. Saturdays are included but Sundays are excluded.
- Ensure that a proper system of internal controls (checks and balances) is in place to safeguard store assets.
- Ensure that the personnel policies and procedures of the dealership are implemented as outlined in the GAMG Associate Handbook attached.
- Promptly advise GAMG of any events that could represent a material contingent liability (i.e., lawsuits, receivable problems, potential losses, etc.) for the dealership.
- Ensure that all “General Policies and Procedures” as detailed in Section 12 of this Manual are adhered to.
- Ensure that all “Operating Policies and Procedures” as detailed in Section 13 of this Manual are adhered to.
- Ensure that all “Sample Duties and Responsibilities” on the GAMG job description for this position are fulfilled.
