Gettle is currently seeking an experienced Data Communication Technician to provide field service to our customers in the areas of installation, maintenance, and repair. This position requires frequent travel, which could include overnight travel.
Data Communication Technician | Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Perform the planning and installation of SCS (Structured Cabling System).
- Ability to complete copper and fiber optic cabling systems, including terminations, splicing, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Must be able to understand and translate site drawings, site work layout, data rack layouts, grounding, and bonding systems and components.
- Possess the ability to operate various tools and equipment related to the industry (hand and power tools, certification meter, power & light source meter, etc.).
- Provide supervision to apprentices and other team members as needed.
- Compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements for DOT / CDL drivers.
- Must be able to work in atmospheric conditions such as extreme cold, heat, humidity, and other various weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
