Gettle is currently seeking an experienced Fire & Security Technician to perform the planning and installation of fire alarm, security, and access control systems. The Fire & Security Technician also provides field service to customers in the areas of installation, maintenance and repair. The position could require occasional travel, which could include overnight stay.
Fire & Security Technician | Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

- Ability to understand work layout designs as directed by the Foreman / Lead Person; must be able to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to complete conduit, cabling, wire and panel transmissions, splicing, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of various alarm and access control systems.
- Possess an understanding of contractor requirements, including daily progress reports, test and inspection paperwork, work orders, and any other required documentation.
- Must be able to understand and translate site drawings, site work layout, SLC Loops, grounding and bonding, conduit requirements, and other systems and components.
- Possess the ability to operate a laptop and program systems as required for start-up’s and / or troubleshooting of existing systems.
- Must be able to perform system takeovers, testing, and inspections, including UL requirements and all related documentation.
- Must be able to operate and maintain a Multi Meter and Mega Ohm Meter for testing system integrity.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
