Position Summary
The Associate Director of College Grants (AD) plays an important role in Gettysburg College’s philanthropic grants and sponsored programs. The AD manages the post-award process, working with project leaders, the Director, and Financial Services to ensure optimal grant award administration and compliance with internal and funder policies. The AD participates in grant budget development and reconciles grant expenses, working with project leaders to complete timely funder reports and compliance documentation, and to address needed budget revisions and / or program adjustments. The AD partners with the Director to cultivate and support grant seeking College-wide. The College Grants team is an active part of the Advancement Division, with close collaboration with the Office of the Provost. The AD position is a full-time, 12-month administrative position reporting to the Director of College Grants. Salary range is $55,000 – $60,000, commensurate with experience, and is complemented by a comprehensive benefit package. Occasional evening / weekend time may be required for divisional event participation. Qualifications Qualified candidates will be proficient in financial analysis and fiscal management, highly organized with careful attention to detail. Strong written / oral communication skills and a deadline-driven, problem-solving mindset. The College seeks candidates who have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, budget management, grant management or equivalent field required. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Experience in higher education or similar non-profit organization setting is preferred. Knowledge of basic accounting practices and principals required.
