Gettysburg College seeks a part-time (20 hours/per week), service-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support the Center for Global Education. This position reports to the Director of the Center for Global Education.
The primary role of the Administrative Coordinator is to provide a variety of administrative and technical support services for the Center for Global Education. They will serve as the main point of contact for the office, work cross-departmentally with campus partners, faculty, and students and their families.
Administrative duties include maintaining office records, tracking, and reporting; programming and assisting with special events including space reservations and catering requests; updating the department’s website; taking and distributing minutes for departmental meetings; monitoring departmental budget and reconciling purchasing cards; making travel arrangements for staff; and maintaining and scheduling meetings for the Director.
This is a Support Staff, Part-time position. There are prorated benefits associated with this position.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred. A minimum of two to three years of previous administrative support experience is required. Knowledge of a second language is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of general office principles and the following demonstrated abilities: experience in event planning; ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including demonstrated cross-cultural competency in communications with diverse groups of students and colleagues; work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple work demands simultaneously, maintain a high level of accuracy, and meet deadlines; maintain confidentiality; work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment; be service-orientated and have the ability to interact positively with students, faculty, and campus partners, as well as a commitment to participating in and building an inclusive and equitable campus community.
