What you can expect:
This position requires high energy and performance for a variety of entry-level traffic data collection tasks. The candidate will setup, take down and monitor a variety of equipment that is used for collection of traffic data for use in traffic engineering studies.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 or more hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, but the hours may vary depending on specific tasks given. There may be occasional weekend work required to meet deadlines; therefore flexibility is a must. Short-term travel, out of state, and overnight stays should be expected and will be required.

- Scout assigned project, create and download field sheets prior to field set up
- Set up, monitor, and take down a variety of traffic data collection equipment
- Download and/or transfer data from equipment as directed by lead processor
- Provide quality control for assurance of accuracy
- Ability to become proficient in a variety of data collection applications
- You can expect driving and travel to make up 50% - 80% of this role
- Maintain assigned vehicle
- Maintain and repair equipment as necessary
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will bring to Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc
Education:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Experience:
- Shall have basic knowledge of the Windows OS.
- Shall have basic knowledge of MS Office applications including Word and Excel.
- Shall have basic knowledge of the Apple iPad.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn the functionality of new equipment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Vision and stamina to drive a vehicle for long distances up to eight (8) hours.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn the functionality of new equipment
- Work is performed in both the field and an office environment.
- Field work will include working outdoors on sites with exposure to inclement weather and traffic.
- Light to moderate physical demands, including sitting, standing, or walking for prolonged periods of time shall be expected. Strength shall be sufficient to lift and/or move items weighing >50 lbs.
