Pay Range: $20.00 to $23.00

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Shipping Lead candidate for this position is analytical, well-organized, and possesses excellent communication skills. The Shipping Lead should be comfortable with managing paperwork and utilizing information systems and ERP systems. A strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures is also crucial. Your primary goal as a Shipping Lead will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping processes. By coordinating with various teams and utilizing your expertise, you will play a vital role in maintaining the timely delivery of orders and enhancing customer satisfaction. The Shipping Lead will report to the Site Manager.
General Responsibilities
- Use software to check, prioritize and route orders
- Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
- Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
- Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders
- Supervise and lead shipping assemblers
- Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and receiving, planning, and other managers to optimize processes
- Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
- Creating and implementing shipping policies and procedures.
- Acting as a liaison between management, carriers, and shipping customers.
- Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment.
- Documenting processes and reporting to management as required.
- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments of products, materials, and supplies.
- Communicate with clients and shippers and resolve any complaints.
- Work in unison with the inventory manager to have parts picked for assemblies to complete order requests
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
- Report to management on activities and issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing warehouse setting
- Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
- Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), along with Data entry and inventory software
- Experience in directing and evaluating team members
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
- Must have good math skills and can accurately read/use a tape measure and use basic handheld and power tools
- Forklift and material handling experience
- Must have a passion for doing a job well
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Must be a “self-motivated” team player
